Funding for Restorative Justice Programs that Keep Juveniles Out of the Justice System

The Restorative Justice Coordinating Council (RJ Council) is pleased to announce an opportunity to apply for funding for Restorative Justice programs that keep juveniles out of the justice system. This funding comes from the RJ Cash Fund and totals $800,000 for fiscal year ’18 (July 1, 2017-June 30, 2018). It will support both currently funded programs at a reduced amount and new programs. Requests must be completed and submitted by all interested parties by the end of business March 31, 2017. For detailed information please click here.

If you are interested in this opportunity consider attending one of the regional trainings listed on www.rjcolorado.org on the events page under the RJ Colorado Only tab. There will also be a webinar walking participants through the funding application on February 23rd. To register for that, call or, please click here.

Preventing our young people from entering the criminal justice system, when appropriate, continues to be the funding priority for the RJ Council as they consider funding restorative justice practices in CO for the next fiscal year. We hope you share this value. Even if you don’t apply for funding we hope you will find a way to help keep our young people in the classroom and engaged in healthy activities in your community.
