Support for Crime Victims

Colorado supports victim-centered restorative justice practices. This means restorative justice practitioners hold the care and concern for victims of crime as primary when preparing for and conducting a restorative justice process.

Many victims and survivors have needs that go beyond their capacity to handle alone. COVA, the Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance is an amazing resource for victims and survivors. COVA has an emergency fund for crime victims when there is no other resource that will reach out and help.

If you are an advocate and a victim you are working with needs emergency support, COVA has set aside some funds that may help. Please visit http://www.coloradocrimevictims.org/voca-emergency-fund.html for more information.
