Come speak at the One Colorado Denver Metro GSA Summit!

Hello fine folks of Restorative Justice Colorado,

I’m Jordan Anthony, the coordinator for the Safe Schools program here at One Colorado. Here in Colorado, we’re fortunate to have a majority of our school districts implementing policies to protect our LGBT students. But there are still gains to be made. If we want to create safe schools for all students, we ought to turn to those students themselves to advocate for the schools they deserve. To that end, we will be hosting a GSA Leadership Summit for the Denver Metro Area to connect LGBT youth and their allies, and to give them the know-how on how to be forces for good in their community.

After seeing Restorative Justice's amazing work in advocating for truly equitable and restorative justice practices, I would love to invite you to join us and present at this year’s summit on Saturday, October 6.

This year's theme is "Creating Change Now!" and we ask that presenters consider the specific skills and tools that attendees will have gained when they walk out of their session. Workshops and presentations need to be 90 minutes long, and preferably applicable to a wide range of students and their supporters (middle school, high school, college, faculty, and allies). Interactivity and group activities are highly encouraged! There will be both a morning and afternoon workshop session, so feel free to concept a workshop for each slot.

I look forward to partnering with you this next year! Please complete the attached form by Monday, September 10 if you wish to present at the summit. Please let me know if you have any questions, and feel free to let your networks know about the summit as well!

Thank you much, and I hope to hear from you soon.
