Danielle Fagan is the Victim Assistant Coordinator for the Boulder County Probation department. She has been servicing victims as an advocate for almost 20 years and is passionately committed to integrating victim centered restorative justice practices into her work. Currently, she is responsible for providing victim notification, helping mentor and train new probation officers in working with victims, helping clients with apology letters and participating in restorative justice panels and high risk victim offender dialogues. Danielle is engaged in numerous community collaborations including Project Reach which is a program that provides assessment, treatment and monitoring to juveniles who commit sexual offenses, DARC (Domestic Abuse Response Committee) which reviews weekly domestic violence cases that occur in Longmont and served on the VALE Board (Victim Assistance and Law Enforcement) from 2013-2016 and helped monitor and disburse grant monies to programs that support victims in Boulder County. She began her career in victim services in 1998 and provided on scene support to victims and witnesses as a victim’s advocate at the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office including responding to and working with the victims during the Columbine shooting. Following that, she worked as a Victim Witness Specialist for the Jefferson County District’s Attorney for 6 years, working with deputy district attorneys and continuing to provide support to victims of crime. Danielle is eager to bring her vast experience in the victim community to bear on the development and expansion of RJ practices across the state and beyond.
