Join Anne Seymour, national victims' rights advocate, and Jessica Barfield, the Assistant Director at the Tennessee Office of Criminal Justice Programs, in a discussion of the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) and its relationship to restorative justice and other youth justice programming. Anne and Jessica will discuss the history of VOCA and how the Fund functions on the federal level, how VOCA dollars are distributed in states, and the authorized uses of VOCA dollars and recent changes in the VOCA Rule to these uses. We'll then dig deeper into how Tennessee used VOCA dollars to fund innovative programming - including restorative justice projects -- for youth, crime survivors, and emerging adults in communities.
